Steven Morris (left) and Patricia J. Morris (right) founded the Hands of Hope Caregivers Foundation in 2011.
To create a contemporary, compassionate, multifaceted and relevant healthcare service support group for caregivers of older adults and the young alike.
To provide high level support to caregivers who are often a forgotten group by providing recreational activities, and delivering quality community-based resources and services.
Hands Of Hope Caregivers Foundation (HOHCF) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) service and advocacy organization that was formed in 2011 by co-founders Patricia J. Morris, LICSW and Steven Morris, M.Ed out of a personal desire to recognize and help caregivers in Prince George's County Maryland. We are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of professionals in the fields of social services, government, outreach, education and management.
Whether caring for a family member, long-time friend or neighbor, we understand how taxing this can be. According to the study, Caregiving in the U.S. conducted by the National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP, in 2012 65.7 million caregivers or 29% of the U.S. adult population were providing care to someone who was ill, disabled or aged.
Our organization is committed to supporting these vibrant, compassionate and dedicated members of our community as well as reminding them of just how important they really are.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
